I was fortunate enough to take part in a one day Loon workshop in 2015 on a Northern Michigan Lake. There was heavy fog that morning rendering everything white. The contrast of these dark graphic birds was striking, and the only color discernible is the red of the adults eye. I love the way the two chicks are nestled under her wing. Captured with a Canon 6D with Tamron 150-600 f/5-6.3 DI VC (original) at 600mm 1/800sec at f8, ISO 2500. Processed with LR and Photoshop.
