One of the hardest things to photograph for the Cumberland Gap would for sure be the Gap Cave. There are no lights except for what you bring, you are in complete darkness. Focusing in the dark, damp cave can be challenging, but if you have a bright enough head lamp and flash light you might be ok. After I got it focused and switched over to manual, myself and a ranger would take our lights and slowly paint it in. There are not many people who get to see this cavern, or in this much detail.
This was shot on a manfrotto BeFree Tripod using a Nikon D7000 with a CPL filter for 36 seconds. Myself and 2 rangers painted in the image using our flash lights.
