The Alps really are full of cows and they really do wear cow bells! Every hike we enjoyed on our tour through Alpine Europe included many of these wonderful ladies. The sound of the bells was just as much a part of the landscape as cuckoo birds and rushing of streams. This happy cow ate her way across a ridge on Italy's Alpe di Siusi.
