Within two or three seconds he was on to his prey, a baby elk, who didn't stand a chance. It has been a difficult image to look at, but reflects the laws of the wild and is not anymore disturbing than what we see on the evening news involving humans. Yet our hearts cried for the baby, whose suffering thankfully was brief.
