Looking out our bedroom window towards the North. A weather front passed through and at sunset the sun was shining under the clouds and bathing everything in a reddish light! The church (175+ years old) is a landmark that sits high on a hill and can be seen for miles. The roofs on the houses are literally down the street from us in our subdivision. The trees in front of the church are near it and if you look closely, you can see a dark tree line behind it that is located on the Illinois side of the Mississippi River. The church is approximately 4 miles from our house.
