My wife and I woke up at 2:30AM and drove out of Yellowstone National Park for 3 hours in time to catch the sun rise.
We were rewarded by this magnificent sight!
The orange light on the peak lasted just a couple of minutes. The valley was awash with sunlight after that and the mountains were grey.
EXIF: f/11 at 51mm for 0.4s, ISO 100.
A Polarizing filter was used. A was able to make a good exposure at that time. A couple of minutes later, I had to use a graduated ND filter to manage the exposure.
