This shot was taken at Fort Desoto park, St. Petersburg, FL. I was tracking this yellow-crowned night heron when it ran over and grabbed a ghost crab which has strayed too far from its hole. The heron dismantled the crab, removing the claws first then used its beak to turn the crab into the equivalent of a soft-shelled crab!
