This image was captured while hiking in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada. The combination of colors of the gold against the dark, almost black of the evergreen trees and the black rocks was striking.

It was shot at f/8 at 1/500 second, ISO400 with a Canon EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 IS USM lens on a Canon xTi body.
