Nikon D90, Nikon 70-200mm lens, ISO 200, f/8, 1/800. I was photographing some nesting birds and when leaving the area I couldn't believe what I was seeing. My camera gear was all packed up and I quickly got it back out again and was able to take a few pictures. I still can't believe an egret would hitch a ride on the back of an alligator. Either the egret isn't very smart or he thinks he's faster than the gator.
