As I drove up into the Guadalupe Mountains National Park, I encountered a very dense, icy fog reducing visibility to a few yards. Everything was coated in thick ice that combined with the fog gave the appearance of a total white out. The dark tree encrusted with ice, looming out of the fog, stood out like a lone sentinel in this stark landscape. Canon 5D mk2, Canon 100 mm F 2.8 IS L lens, ISO 800, 1/2500 second at F 5.0
