This spiral staircase was on the Royal Princess ship on our Caribbean Cruise this year in March. The scene produced an unusual effect with the spiral pushing downward while the center rods appeared to be pushing upward. Photo was taken with a Nikon D850 camera fitted with a Nikkor 10-24 mm f/3.5-4.5 lens. The lens was set at 10mm with the camera using a crop factor of 1.5 for the DX lens, making it a 15mm equivalent. Camera settings were 1/200 sec., f/16, ISO 12800. f/16 was used to put the whole distance in focus which provided a bonus and caused the light bulbs to make star bursts in the photo.
