While out shooting a late - late afternoon monsoon lightning show in Tucson Mountain Park, AZ, the sky was totally engulfed in low hanging clouds. I had my Canon 7D MK II set on a Ct114 Induro tripod, with an Induro BHD ball head shooting with an intervalometer every thirty seconds, trying to get a few lightning shots. All of a sudden I noticed to the west of my location, the sky completely opened up with a most unusual fiery sunset. I grabbed my Sony DSC-HX9V camera (I always carry it along just in case), while my 7D MK II kept shooting away at the heavy darkend sky right above me, and shot this incredible fiery sunset. The Sony specs: ISO 200, 1/250th of a sec,f/5.6 with the lens set at 44.27mm. I did get a few really nice lightning shots, but nothing compared to the super red sunset.
