Sunrise and I happen upon a wetland area with three Great Blue Herons strutting around. Finally one takes off and lands on the top of a Spruce Tree and began the wave while facing the sunrise. Camera was a Canon 5D Mk III with the Canon 500mm f4 Prime lens with a 1.4 extender giving me a 700mm lens all on a tripod. Settings as follows. Aperture was 5.6, speed was 1/2000 sec and ISO was at 1000.
