Walking through downtown San Francisco on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, I left the shoppers in Union Square to walk the fairly empty Financial District. The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco stands for the the Unites States' central bank with all its power and responsibility. The building in which it resides reflects that stalwart nature, don't you think?
