I captured this image at the North Carolina Veterans Park in Fayetteville, NC. This statue is created in the likeness of U.S. General Henry Hugh Shelton, a decorated hero. Unlike the other statues in the park, his eyes are focused on what lies ahead. He holds his rifle in one hand and keeps his other open, as if he is ready to gear up at any minute.
