East Point Lighthouse is located in Heislerville, New Jersey, on the Delaware Bay at the mouth of the Maurice River in Maurice River Township New Jersey. It opened in 1849. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as Maurice River Lighthouse. Once a year, usually in September, it is open to the public.

I had to wait many hours to gain entrance because they could only allow 2 people at a time into the lighthouse. They would climb to the lantern room (which was very small), take in the view, then come back down. This was very time consuming.
