Amazing lens, but the shot is about 50% of the focus that that very lens can get for you in a shot like this.
Try raising your aperture up to something ridiculous like f/22 or more and increase your lighting to "a whole bunch of light."
You may have to slow your shutter down, but hand held is still usually okay in the 60-90/1000 speed range.
