While teaching at Johannes Gutenberg University as a visiting instructor from Ann Arbor, visited this abandoned cloister south of Mainz with my son and his mother. Minolta SRT-101, 2.8/58 Rokkor lens, manually exposed for highlights on Ilford Pan F, scanned by the photographer on a Nikon 4000 laser scanner. In this cloister Napoleon quartered his horses and some scenes in the Name of the Rose were filmed.
