Though it may seem like a simple photograph, I always try to add more meaning to the photographs I make. For this photo, I thought of a fitness magazine cover. Showing both how beautiful she is juxtaposed with the idea (in my mind) of "climbing up the ladder" of life.

I strive daily to grow both as a photographer and as a human being, as do many others. I believe it important to face the tough spots head on, with some grace and poise, and just keep on climbing! Clair did a wonderful job demonstrating that in this photo.

I made this photo with my Canon 6D, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 VC lens, and Alien Bee B800 with a 48" shoot through umbrella.
