The Cheat Mountain Salamander is operated by the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad and departs from Elkins, WV. The Salamander is a vintage passenger train that travels through one the largest spruce forest wilderness areas in the eastern US. The Salamander stops at the High Falls of the Cheat and then continues along the Cheat River to Cheat Bridge. The train is named in honor of the endangered Cheat Mountain salamander that lives exclusively along the route. Fujifilm X-T1, XF 18-135mm, ISO 200, 1/250 sec, f/5.6, 29mm. Tom Carroll
