During my photo tour in Feb 2016,I took the opportunity to visit Khichan village in the Jiasalmer district of Rajasthan. This village is a unique example of what conservation and nurturing can do to birds. Demoiselle cranes migrate from Europe and have made Khichan their home year after year because of the local community support.Khichan a is world famous for the Demoiselle_Cranes,The birds visit in the Khichan during the winter season Oct to March At the peak of season that is month of Dec,Jan,Feb.the number goes over 15000 birds.Best_time for watching Birds is 6 am to 9 am at bird view point,Its a small village called, Khichan in Rajasthan, a little ahead of Jodhpur. This small place got big because of these amazing guests that come to visit it every winter.
