While heading out to the Grand Canyon this was our last stop on the road. It is at the very end of the scenic drive. The difficultly with this shot was the cloud coverage throughout the day it was overcast the entire day. Finally at the last stop the sun started to shine thru the clouds, and the result was stunning. When taking pictures of the Grand Canyon the key is to get as much contrast in the colors as you can. For this shot I used my Nikon D7200 with a Tokina 11-20mm lens. I also used a Tiffen ND Circular filter at around 2 stops of light.
