A must visit for a photographer has to be Utah and Canyonlands National Park. Getting out early is a great way to capture the amazing landscapes. This photo was taken from a viewpoint along the main road called Island in the Sky. Numerous places to get off the highway and after a short walk you are on the edge and beautiful views. Camera was a Canon 5D Mk III with a Canon 16-35mm f2.4 lens at 16mm on a tripod. Settings for this are aperture at 18, speed was 1/5 sec and ISO was at 100.
