Sometimes the extraordinary is in one's own home area. After an intense rain, the clouds and light and water combined to create this scene. The clouds are almost like mountains rising in the distance. The Delaware and Raritan Canal, built in the 1830s, remains largely intact and is a significant recreational facility in the 21st century. The image was made with a Nikon D5300 and Sigma 18-250 mm lens, at 32 mm, f/5.6 at 1/125 sec at ISO 100.
