I had packed up my gear and was headed home from the bird refuge when I saw these two Canadian Geese checking each other out. I stopped my car and watched for awhile to see what might be going on. They kept their feet planted as they are in the photo but kept turning their heads to the left or to the right and then back to stare at the other goose. I finally got my gear back out and took a picture because I thought the geese between the weeds and in the snow made a nice shot. Camera settings were, continuous focus and shutter, 1/1250 sec., f/8, and 650mm focal length, ISO 200.. Equipment included Nikon D750, Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6 lens, TC-14E III teleconverter, Induro Stealth CLT403 tripod, Wimberly WH-200 gimbal head.
