I have been photographing the Cleveland Air show for 30 years and never saw this in any of my shots. I was not sure what I was looking at when I got the shot so I looked it up on the internet, to find that the jet had reached a speed known as mach1 around 750 miles per hour. So to get this shot the odds are 1 in 750,000 based on the jets speed vs my shutter speed. Now I know what it feels like to get that 1 in a million shot
