I was out for an afternoon drive to relax with the family when the sky just lit up. I ended up making my way back to a spot I have been wanting to shoot for a while, this was perfect timing for me. I had been to this spot a bunch of different times and never really got anything I liked. By chance, I just happened to get here at the right moment. I took this photograph with a Nikon D7000 using a Nikkor 18-55 lens (Standard Issue) on a Manfrotto BeFree Tripod using a Nikon shutter release. I had a CPL on, but turned it away from the water.
