I was out riding around with my family the day after Christmas just joy riding around. We had no plan of ending up anywhere, we just wanted to get out of the house. We ended up grabbing some dinner in Middlesboro, KY and as we were leaving I told my wife the clouds were looking nice and that we should drive up to the Pinnacle to watch the sunset, she liked the idea and we headed up with the kids to enjoy it. I keep my camera with me all of the time so I pulled all of my gear out and we strolled on over to the Pinnacle overlook. We spent about an hour there and in that time I shot this Panoramic over 5 images that I stitched together in photoshop. The light from the sunset began to break through the storm clouds on one side while it stayed dark and rainy on the other. This was a real moody landscape. My kids love it because they can stare out and see three states (TN, VA & KY) and theirs some large rocks to climb. I just love the landscape of our area we live in, the Appalachian Mountains.
