A thunderstorm this July 4th 2017, a half hour before sunset here in Venice, Florida emptied the beach of display watchers. Pocket weather radar indicated this storm would be offshore about 15 minutes after scheduled lightoff time. We emerged from our shelter to view the most perfect scenario.
