This photo was taken shortly after dawn in Rocky Mountain National Park. Traveling back along the park’s famed “highway to the sky”, I noticed a deep valley that extended through the mountain range. In the cool, misty dawn light, the alpine forest had taken on stunning hues of blue. Enchanted by its beauty, I decided to capture the essence of the scene with my camera. The image captures the alluring character of the Rocky Mountains, with its rugged, yet delicate landscape. The photograph was later digitally cross-processed to bring out the rich blues with a hint of green.
