Blood Root is one of the first flowers to bloom here in eastern Tennessee in Spring. They are very fragile flowers, just the wind from walking by can knock a petal off. I found two freshly bloomed Blood Root Flowers along the Laurel Falls trail at Laurel Run Park, Church Hill, TN.
