"The Blind Curve:" I knew these seasonal wildflowers were fading fast and my opportunities were closing in to photograph them. Along the path, I noticed just 2 reddish-pink bushes that interrupted the row of otherwise continuous gold. Backlighting from the sun at a low angle made all the colors in the field seem to come alive. Granite Mountain is in the distance.
