A friend showed me a postcard sized picture of this majestic oak tree and asked if I could scan it and make a large size print of it for his wall. The picture didn't do justice to the tree, and any large blow-up of it would have been awful. I told him that I would photograph the tree myself and print it for him. Well, that turned into a year and a half project capturing the tree in all four seasons.
The Bedford Oak is over 500 years old and is the unofficial town symbol of Bedford, New York. All of the pictures were taken with a Nikon D300 with a Nikkor 28-300 lens.
