This was taken on a recent family vacation to Iceland. It is a wreckage from a DC-3 US Navy plane that crashed on the beach in 1973. All survived and this plane remains abandoned on this black beach close to the town of Vik. We stopped to see it, but little did we know we had to walk nearly 2.5 miles to get to the actual wreckage. It is desolate and dark here adding to the eerie site. When we arrived my family walked through the plane. Shot with a canon 5D mark 4 and tamron 24-70 (version1) Settings: iso 1000, f11, 35mm at 1/300.
