This past year, i've spent numerous nights under the open sky, shooting falling stars in different corners of Hungary. On the night of December 13th, my choice fell on a spot close to my home, located on the so-called "Stone Hill" in Budaörs. From there I had hoped to capture the geminids meteor shower along with the city landscape. After the first successful exposition however, I found myself switching to a new perspective. As I turned my back to the city, I noticed a distinct contour forming in the sky above me. The wind arose and within seconds several clouds floated above the Buda hills; this is when the pictured phenomenon suddenly struck my eye. Thanks to the lighting, the silhouette of the cross found on Stone Hill and that of the Szeplőtelen Fogantatás Chapel about 100 meters off appeared as an enormous projection in the sky, one on top of the other. The entire phenomenon lasted no longer than a few minutes, washing away the chapel tower first, then slowly dissolving the cross with it. It brings me great satisfaction to have been able to capture a shot depticting both religion, nature and their connection with man for the viewers eye.
