While exploring some birding locations in Port Aransas, Texas this American Bittern began to creep up closer and closer until I could get this awesome close-up. I used a Nikon D700 camera with a Sigma 150mm to 600mm zoom lens attached. The settings were as follows:
Shutter speed 1/640 sec, f10, ISO 800 and lens zoomed to 500mm.
