The paintings on the exterior walls of the monastery's Church of the Resurrection depicting biblical scenes date from about 1600 and remain brilliantly colorful today. Taken with a Nikon D80 and a Nikkor 18-200 mm lens at 52 mm. Exposure was f/11,1/500 sec (ISO 400). Processed using Autotone and Autocolor in Photoshop. Photographed by Irwin H.
