Here’s a great video to get you inspired about photography. In the clip from Advancing Your Photography, Ansel Adams’ son Michael discusses how his father made what is perhaps his most famous photo: “Moon Over Hernandez.”

Hasselblad just took the wraps off what has the potential to be a groundbreaking new medium format camera: the 50-megapixel X1D. The Hasselblad X1D is being dubbed “the world’s first compact mirrorless digital medium format camera,” and from the looks of it, the X1D is certainly unique.

Michael Muller’s fantastic photos of sharks are so realistic they look like they are going to jump off the page (or screen) and gobble you up. Fortunately, a limited edition version of his new shark book comes with some added protection: It’s wrapped in its own metal shark cage.

Our favorite weird lens guru Mathieu Stern has been testing out some unusual Soviet-era Russian lens and the results have been surprisingly impressive. In fact, in the below video, Stern pairs the Jupiter-9 85mm F/2 portrait lens on a Sony A7 II mirrorless camera and some of his still photos and video are actually quite amazing.
