Built for fun, the new compact Lomo’Instant Sanremo camera is designed to offer maximum creativity on the go.

Fujifilm was showing off its new toys at photokina today and we got some hands-on time with these latest X-series cameras and lenses. Initially announced on September 10^th, the Fujifilm X100T and XT-1 Graphite Silver cameras, and Fujinon XF50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR and XF56mm F1.2 R APD lenses continue to build on Fuji’s compact and retro-style (Fuji would say “classic" style) X-Series line.

The 10^th anniversary limited edition Airport International LE Classic is a premium quality rolling camera bag. Crafted from 1680D ballistic nylon with a durable water repellent (DWR) coating, YKK RC Fuse zippers with stylish fine-grain leather accents and panels and replaceable in-line skate style wheels—this bag offers Think Tank’s premium quality, durability and innovative design. Measuring 14x21x8” and weighing 9.5-11.5 pounds (depending on the accessories used) this carry-on roller lets photographers safely store their valuable camera bodies, lenses and accessories in the overhead bin or under the seat.

Leica turned back the clock (again) on its digital rangefinders today, announcing the M Edition 60 model that has no LCD screen on back, just a dial to adjust ISO. The limited edition camera (there will only be 600 made), which celebrates the 60^th anniversary of Leica’s M series rangefinders, was unveiled by Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Leica’s chairman, at a press conference at the photokina show in Germany this morning.

Leica introduced an upgraded S-Series medium format camera at photokina this morning: the new Leica S (Type 007) model, which features a Leica CMOS sensor and the Leica Maestro II image processor.

Samsung debuted a brand new flagship mirrorless, compact system camera at photokina this morning, the NX1 Smart Camera. The NX1 uses a Samsung-developed 28-megapixel BSI (Backside Illuminated), APS-C-sized, CMOS sensor, which the company says is the biggest BSI chip to date. (BSI chips are designed to produce cleaner images in low light.)

Canon unveiled a premium portable camera at photokina this morning: the 20MP PowerShot G7 X, which uses a large (for a compact model) 1-inch CMOS image sensor and features a multi-angle (up to 180°), flip-up, 3-inch touch capacitive, rear LCD panel with 1,040K dots of resolution.
