Combining hypermodern styling with the classic high-performance modular design Hasselblad has pioneered for 75 years, the new Hasselblad X1D is a striking statement that promises to move the company forward and it’s certainly generating lots of excitement at Photokina. And two new H-Series models confirm Hassleblad’s commitment to moving that line forward.

The Nikon J5 is the newest in Nikon's 1 series mirrorless camera line and is the first in the series to offer 20MP resolution. (Note: the first Nikon 1 cameras had 10MP, while the most recent, the V3, had 18MP resolution). Compared to APS-C sensors with about 23.5 x 15.6 mm and Micro-Four-Third cameras with 17 x 13 mm, the J5 has a smaller sensor at 13.2 x 8.8 mm, Nikon’s CX format. The crop factor is nearly 1:2.7 which means that the “effective” (defined as the 35mm format equivalent) focal length of the kit lens (1 Nikkor 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR) is about 27-81 mm. The camera has a very slim and compact design, which allows for easy transport and usage, similar to a compact camera.

Nikon just unveiled the new Nikkor Z 24-70MM f/2.8 S lens, the latest S-Line lens for the Nikon Z Series full frame mirrorless cameras including the Z7 and Z6. The Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens is a fast-aperture zoom lens that is designed for a variety of content creators thanks to its zoom range, fast aperture, edge-to-edge sharpness and compact/lightweight design, Nikon said.

Nikon continues to add to its Nikkor S-Line of lenses for its Z-series, full frame mirrorless cameras with the just announced new Nikkor Z 24mm f/1.8 S wide-angle prime lens.

Nike announced the 45.7MP Nikon Z7 II and 24.5MP Nikon Z6 II full-frame mirrorless cameras this morning. The two cameras, which are the follow-ups to the Z7 and Z6 from 2018, add some upgrades to the previous models including dual image processors, better autofocus (AF) capabilities and dual memory card slots, though they feature essentially the same image sensors as their predecessors.

Nikon finally admitted to what has been rumored for months now. The company is developing a “next-generation full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless camera and Nikkor lenses featuring a new mount,” Nikon said in a press announcement tonight.
