Leica just introduced the M10-R, a manual focus rangefinder-style digital camera complete with a 40.89-megapixel sensor. We had the opportunity to use the camera prior to its release and evaluate its performance. Here are the results of our hands-on assessment.

The Leica SL (Typ 601) mirrorless camera system is designed to take on not just rival mirrorless cameras but to, potentially, lure pro DSLR users to switch to this high-end system, which combines what the company claims to be the fastest autofocus on the market with a speedy 11 fps burst rate and 4K video capture.

The Leica TL2 is a mirrorless camera with an APS-C size 24-megapixel CMOS sensor, 3.7-inch touchscreen LCD, 49-point contrast-detect autofocus system and 32GB of onboard storage. Features include advanced, integrated Wi-Fi (with potent smartphone app), UHD 4K and Full HD video, and a variety of other attractions.

Leica turned back the clock (again) on its digital rangefinders today, announcing the M Edition 60 model that has no LCD screen on back, just a dial to adjust ISO. The limited edition camera (there will only be 600 made), which celebrates the 60^th anniversary of Leica’s M series rangefinders, was unveiled by Dr. Andreas Kaufmann, Leica’s chairman, at a press conference at the photokina show in Germany this morning.

With the photokina show in Germany still a month away, Leica Camera has jumped the gun and announced its latest rangefinder. Based on the popular M version, the stylish and lightweight Leica M-P shares many similar features with that model but with a few new additions.

Leica, Panasonic and Sigma announced today at the photokina show in Germany that they are forming the “L-Mount Alliance” to try to create a new lens mount standard for full frame mirrorless cameras.

Leica just announced the SL2, a 47.3-megapixel mirrorless full-frame system camera, which is the successor model to the esteemed Leica SL (reviewed here), and Shutterbug was invited to take a preproduction model for an early spin.
