When Co-Founder of South District Films Dan Marks decided to hit the road to shoot video for a new TV reality show featuring big-time athletes, he knew he needed a formula enabling him and his crew to travel light, and a casual approach that would encourage athletes to agree to a session without making a big time commitment.

In exciting news for Nikon, NASA just placed an order for 53 unmodified D5 DSLR cameras for use at their astronaut training facilities on Earth, as well as aboard the International Space Station. These are the same Nikon D5 cameras available to consumers that are known for both high performance and durability under harsh conditions.

Canon just introduced the compact and portable Canon EOS Rebel T8i, which is the "highest-performing" Rebel camera in Canon's line of entry-level DSLRs. It's not the tools that capture the images; it's the photographer's vision that does the job. Everyone has realized that digital imaging is not just another version of the widely...

Phew, what a busy month it’s been for new photo gear! While the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has not, traditionally, been a major event to debut high-end photography equipment, CES 2016 was definitely an exception with dozens of interesting imaging releases. (And hopefully this is a trend that continues at future CES events, which, in recent years have been rather ho-hum for photography gear.)
