After one of their most dramatic marketing build-ups in recent times, Leica unveiled the X Vario camera on June 11. I was fortunate to get a working sample—for just a few days—and put it through its paces. Here are my impressions.

As the name implies, the Fotodiox LED Studio-in-a-Box is a self-contained tabletop studio that features interior LED lighting that has a daylight color balance of 5600 Kelvin. The CRI, or Color Rendering Index, is 85 (on a scale 0 to 100).

Fujifilm just announced the introduction of the INSTAX MINI 12, worthy successor to the well-liked MINI 11, and Shutterbug was allowed to run a sample through its paces several days prior to the launch. Consistent with instant photography’s shoot-and-share mindset, the MINI 12 is a fun, easy-to-use camera that we expect to be well received.

Featuring body-integrated image stabilization, a 40.2-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor, and enhanced video capabilities, the new Fujifilm X100VI will be available in March 2024 at the MSRP of $1599 in black or silver colorways. "X100VI" is pronounced "X100 Six" as it's the sixth model in Fujifilm's popular X100 series which debuted at Photokina in 2010.
