Tamron
USA, Inc. has announced the launch of a newly redesigned AF28-300mm F/3.5-6.3
XR Di Aspherical (IF) MACRO (model A061), a high power zoom lens now featuring
"Di" (Digitally Integrated) design. The "Di" design
is achieved by 1) improving our BBAR coatings to a new multi-coating that
encompasses all of the benefits of the original but now further reduces
the ghosting and flare caused by aberrations, and 2) by further enhancing
our already stringent quality control system. The new AF28-300mm Di is
redesigned as a high power zoom lens now ideal for use with interchangeable-lens
digital cameras as well as film cameras. It provides an angle of view
equivalent to that of approx. 465mm ultra telephoto when used with a digital
camera and enables you to enjoy creative composition of images at the
28mm wideangle setting when used with a 35mm film camera. "SP"
(Super Performance) is a designation Tamron puts on lenses featuring superior
specifications and outstanding optical performance.

The basic problems facing the low-light photographer are being able to use a fast enough shutter speed to permit hand-held shooting, and being able to use a small enough lens aperture to...

We rarely consider photographing shadows, but oftentimes the long shadows created in early morning or late afternoon light are so dramatic that they can actually become interesting subjects for our photos.

Shadows exist wherever light exists, but we tend to overlook them, partly because our eyes are drawn to light--and...
