Watch the History of Cameras in Under Two Minutes in this Fun Animated Video

We can think of few better ways to spend a minute and a half of your Friday afternoon than watching the short and fun animated video below titled “A History of the Photo Camera.”

Created by Copilotos and featuring Lee Morgan’s bouncy jazz number “The Sidewinder” as a backing track, the video travels in camera history from the Kodak Brownie in 1900 through the Rolleiflex Automat in 1937 to the Pentax K-1000 in 1976, and up through the Nikon D1 and Panasonic DMC-LX3 of the modern digital era.

Traditional dedicated camera fans probably won’t like where it ends up. Here’s a hint: it begins with an “i” and ends with a “6.”

Either way, this animated evolution of some of the most iconic photo cameras of all time is a hoot.
