Just When You Thought the Campaign Couldn’t Get Crazier, There’s This Hilarious Stop-Motion Video

Regardless of one’s political orientation, most of us would agree that the 2016 presidential campaign has been a bit bizarre. Satirical photographer Joel Strong really captured the peculiar nature of the race with this hilarious stop-motion video.

Strong combined his photos with forced perspective, paper cutouts and stop motion to craft this 90-second masterpiece he calls “Heads of State” for reasons that become instantly obvious when you watch the video. As he told Wired, this film required two weeks of shooting, 80 paper cutouts and four models.

Strong has been using this stop-motion technique for the past three years, and his efforts have appeared in television commercials and on Instagram where he has almost 170,000 followers,
