How Far Has Photography Evolved Since 1960? Watch This Nostalgic Short Film and See for Yourself

In 1960 Kennedy was elected President, a gallon of gas cost a quarter, Alfred Hitchcock’s film “Psycho” was released, and photography was a whole lot different than it is today. To see just how different, watch the nostalgic short film below.

Kodak produced this film in 1960 in an attempt to encourage graduating high school students to pursue a career in photography. Despite what you may think, commercial photography was hardly in its infancy back then, and this 27-minute documentary suggests plenty of opportunities for would-be shooters, including fashion, nature, and aerial photography, to industrial work and even space exploration photography

It’s a really charming film, so kick back and enjoy the trip down memory lane.
