Here’s How to Remove ANYTHING from an Image with Photoshop’s Updated Content-Aware Fill Tool (VIDEO)

If you know the basics of Photoshop, then you’re probably familiar with a rather remarkable feature called Content-Aware Fill. In short, this Adobe software tool lets you remove distracting objects from your photos – such as wires or telephone polls – and replace (fill) them with a seemingly natural background that blends in with the scene.

It’s almost like those objects were never there at all!

Well, Adobe, as Adobe is wont to do, has updated and improved Content-Aware Fill over the years and the latest version of this handy tool in Photoshop is its best yet, according to photographer Peter McKinnon. In the below video, McKinnon explains why the updated feature is “scary good” and can help you “remove anything from a photo using Photoshop.”

“The magic behind Content-Aware Fill has advanced to something that is even more incredible, it’s way more usable and now it makes it even easier to get anything out of your photos,” McKinnon says. “I’m not even going to say anything more about it. I’m just going to jump in and show you, but first I’m going to show you how the old one worked, because then it will make more sense how the new one’s better.”

Watch the “Two-Minute Tuesday” tutorial below – which, as per usual, is longer than two minutes – and learn how to start using the updated Content-Aware Fill feature in Photoshop today.
