Help the Rescued Film Project Process & Restore a Treasure Trove of Film Shot in the 1950s (VIDEO)

We are big fans of the Rescued Film Project, an amazing online gallery of lost and forgotten unprocessed film from around the world. For his latest project, founder and film technician Levi Bettwieser needs some financial help to process and restore some 1200 rolls of film shot by one photographer in the 1950s.

“I’m asking for your help,” Bettweiser explains, “because this is way more film than I can process myself.” All donations, big and small, will go a long way towards covering the costs of chemicals, envelopes, archive sleeves and other expenses. Bettwieser adds “if everyone who follows us on social media and enjoys seeing the images we rescue gives just $1, we will have more than enough to save this film.”

We recently shared a fascinating video chronicling another of the Rescued Film Project’s efforts; the discovery of 31 rolls of undeveloped film shot by a American soldier during WWII. The latest project is a far more mammoth endeavor—hence Bettwieser’s plea for assistance.

You can help by participating in his Indiegogo campaign. The Rescued Film Project also has an Etsy store where you can purchase some amazing prints.

Watch the video below and do what you can for this very worthy effort.

You article is really informative for me because i don't know much about it before. Actually movies are best for leisure or relaxation. In fact, you do not even need to download the film for this - just go to a website like movie rulz http://www.movierulz.us/ and enjoy your vacation. Of course, among such websites as the sites there, does not stand out from the crowd, as well as websites, the leaders, who have long earned the respect of customers and formed their own permanent audience. Or you can used search engine to find the best one as your desire.Watch movies online and get the real pleasure of a good movie in the comfort of home! Anyways, you have put a nice effort to share it with us thanks for it.
