I made this image on a quick trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, NC a few months ago in mid October to get some fall color but the weather didn't cooperate (heavy rain and complete lack of visibility). I stayed overnight in hopes that the weather would change but it continued with the same the next day. I decide to head towards Smoky Mountain Park along the Blue Ridge Parkway and as I got into lower elevations and closer to the Park, the rainy weather and clouds showed some clearing. I would stop along the way to get some shots as I witnessed the sun peaking through.
